So, it took me 18 hours to install Windows 10 on my computer…

The actual install process took just around 30 minutes. Rest of the time was spent trying to make it work.

Let me tell you why the installer kept on failing on me during the n number attempts I made… I had my Windows Temp folder set on D Drive.

This snapshot is of course from inside Windows 10.

Yup. I wasted 18 hours of my life because the installer could not proceed with Temp folder on another hard disk on the computer.

To be honest, a bunch of my attempts included disconnecting all secondary drives on the system so that is kind of understandable.

But the attempts that were made with all the drives connected and accessible to the installer? Nope.

Baffling.
